I love the books as much as the next person but I also loved FOTR for what it was! PJ and company did a spectacular job bringing to life the characters as well as the wonders and horrors of ME to life! I don't think that the fans could have asked for a better adaptation of the books we all love so much, nor could we have asked for a better director than Peter Jackson!
