I'm with Lottie on this - let Number Two succeed to the Simony. If the wolves could kill the Simons off without a substitute, there'd be no point in having them at all, as they wouldn't be able to do their job. (Plus, it makes for interesting speculations - ŕ la, Is #2 a wolf and killed #1 in order to get the job? Endless possibilities...)
