I think that Sauron was the big bad, which is pretty obvious if you think about it. He tricked Gorlim into revealing the whereabouts of Barahir (the famous Beren's father) and his gang by using Gorlim's dead wife as bait. I think that was very cruel.
Actually I think Celegorm and Curufin were evil for what they did to Doriath, Luthien and Beren. Elves aren't always noble and wise. [img]smilies/evil.gif[/img]
