First things first. Sorry about that, phantom. I feel an explanation of my vote is necessary.
When I signed off on Day 6 to go to bed, I had every intention of being back at least a couple of hours before deadline to read and discuss. Needless to say, it did not work out that way. I woke up about 15 minutes before DL and hurried to read the latest.
I first saw Kath's vote for me, which honestly, didn't appear to me to be any more solid than my earlier vote for her, but oh well.
I also noted Lari had revealed as Gretel.
I read as phantom exhorted eveyone to hurry up and vote. Now, I was still unsure about him, but I was leaning toward giving him a pass for at least one more Day. Then he said this:

Quote:
Well, I wouldn't mind lynching Nerwen if I can get everyone to help.

If not, then I'll settle for anything else besides me being lynched.
Now that seemed to come out of the blue, as I didn't recall him voicing any serious suspicion of her recently. And what happened next? McCaber immediately latched on. That appeared to be an awfully sudden bandwagon, and that was what pushed me at the last minute to vote phantom.
I saw his claim that Mira had left a clue verifying his Huntsman status, but there was simply no time to verify that before time ran out.
Honestly, I think that even if I had been there discussing for the previous hour and had already voted for someone else, I would have retracted and voted phantom, just because that last minute push for Nerwen seemed wrong. The fact that it turned out justified is irrelevant.
There it is. I'm sorry I helped do away with the phantom, but I didn't do it alone, and I don't see what else I reasonably could have been expected to think under the circumstances.
