I had been hoping that the players would take into consideration (maybe they did, but I didn't see it) the species they carried. For example, trolls would hardly be fit to take on as a huge a scale role as the mastermind, but they might be more easily forced to the werewolf. And vice versa with the dragons. You get the idea.
I'm afraid the wolves were at a disadvantage,
Gwath knew who they were, but didn't know his identity. Also
Gwath sent them instructions once or twice, perhaps (I don't know for sure) hampering their movements. And losing once all the innocents were dead. Sorry if you felt irritated,
