Oh c'mon, we all know that in a showdown between Starfleet and Palpatine's ineffective little drones, Starfleet has at least three aces in the hole: 1) Kirk could always just seduce Palpatine, and 2) Should that fail, the Picard Maneuver can solve most of the world's problems, and 3) When in doubt, slingshot around the sun and bring back a humpback whale.
