By all means I'd fight alongside Gimli, although our height difference might a problem, it would be more like a game with him. All that I'd have to do is watch what I'm doing, no need to worry about him!
If I couldn't fight next to him, I'd like to be one of the soldiers defending the city with Gandalf.
