Enedwaith . . . standings and some statistics after Round 1:
Clearly, the biggest disappointments this round are:
- Angband's tie with Annúminas
Angband's unnamed Balrogs better improve their playing. Not to take anything from the Dúnedain of Arnor--they played superbly--, but you expect Ainur to play better than that.
- Lothlórien's dismal showing against Osgiliath.
Does anyone there besides Galadriel deserve to be playing football? Their attacking was dismal and their defence was so-so. At the rate they're playing now they'll be the doormat of their group, Umbar at least managed to score a goal against group favourite Nargothrond.
Michel Delving's game against Rómena was also a bit of a disappointment, but I have to admit, Rómena's defence is more solid than I thought.
And better luck next time, Swans. I guess the Hobbits still have to get used to playing with the Deathless.
