Like Thalioniathiel, I allow my young daughters to watch the funny parts of FOTR. They have seen the cartoon movies all the way through. My middle child wanted a hobbit party for her 5th bday. I was all for that. And I sing the songs from LOTR to them.
I am guiding my youngest sister, she's 21, through reading the Books. She's not that much of a reader and reads slow. I love it because she has many questions and never gets tired of my lengthy explanations. She's the only one that truly knows how obsessed I am and never faults me for it. She has no computer and when she visited me last week I brought her here to this site and we spent hours doing all the games and fun stuff. So I am definitely reeling her in.
