I just came up with some more:

..when you have great fun coming up with different endings to the movie trilogy and is telling them to those of your friends who haven't read the books
..when you post in a "you know you have Tolkien-fever when.."-forum
..when you are trying to convince someone to read the LotR-series, and when they won't, you walk of calling them Gollum..
