Join the new Chapter-by-Chapter discussion!
Three and a half years ago, we began discussing The Lord of the Rings as a joint venture. It took us about one and a half years to get through, and not all were able to keep up with the threads. Now I'd like to invite all of you to go through once again, or for the first time. I have begun rereading the book and am including a great new resource, Hammond and Scull's LotR Reader's Companion, in my reading and posting.
Though we are posting on the threads already established on the Chapter-by-Chapter sub-forum, and you are of course welcome to (re-)read what was previously written, this is a new discussion. Post your thoughts and ideas first and don't worry about whether someone else has already said the same thing. After all, you are unique, and by reading what you have to say, we will get to know you better.
I hope both old and new members will participate!
