I am by no means impugning the right and privilege of any person to read JRRT as he/she/it sees fit. (Though I also defend the right of those who disagree, especially myself
, to do so.) In Neithan Tol Turambar's case, I am merely pointing out that Neithan has established two, mutually contradictory points of view -- One, that Tolkien's work is inviolable, and Two, that Melkor is something or someone that Tolkien says he most definitely was not.
