Hello. I first discovered Barrowdowns about a year ago when someone from the forum I normally post to (at sf-fandom) gave a link to the name generator. I added the site to my favourites, but just visited occasionally to check out other things - I didn't visit the forum. Then last December, things on my forum were getting kind of slow, so I joined up over here.

Like Redshelob, I first read the books while Tolkien was still alive, and have enjoyed them many times over the years.

Must confess though, I'm here today because sf-fandom is down. (ducks)
