I truly beleive that the book is better...And the lord of the rings isn't the only great novel to be trased by hollywood...(and i saw that in light terms). But, i like the fact that this time went lotr was made into a film it was done so that nothing important or critical to the plot of the story was left out. the book would have to be better in my opinon, because it's the real MCcoy...
