For your delectation, one of the most scathing film reviews I've ever read - in last Friday's
Daily Mail. Now I'm the least likely person to take the Daily Mail seriously (in fact I wouldn't be seen dead buying it, davem bought it) but this has put me off trekking to the cinema. I might wait until it's on Sky. Or at least until I've attempted to read the book.
Problem is, there's so much other quality fantasy/sci-fi entertainment out there right now to compete with this film. Just on TV, we've got a Doctor Who special at Christmas, plus the series Torchwood and Robin Hood, and I've just seen the adaptation of Pratchett's
Hogfather on Sky, which was excellent fun!
So, I now need to be convinced!
