Spreading the Word
Most of the people I know either read it a long time ago, have only vaguely heard of it (one person confused it with Lord of the Flies!), or haven't heard of it at all. However, that is changing. I have got my roommate and a couple of other friends started on them. Who knows? They might pop up here someday... And it's kind of strange as well, after all the uproar about Tom cut out of the movie, to hear someone say that it could have been left out of the book!
