Greetings again, I've been reminded that my last act was too unlike me, and I believe it was. So, to return my roots with more enthusiasm, I am going to sing a very favourite song of mine - Steward On Fire by Morrissey. Morrissey is my second best man (I am already madly in love with another more close), and I wish to do him some respect. This song is an illustration of an outsider's sympathy with the wonderful madness of Denethor.
Here is Gondor, giddy of Minas Tirith,
Is it home of the free -
Or what?
Can you squeeze me,
Into an empty page of your diary,
And psychologically save me?
I've got faith in you -
I sense the power,
Within the fingers,
Within an hour the power,
Could totally destroy me,
(Or, it could save my life)
Oh, here is Minas Tirith,
"Home of the mad, extreme and free"
You are repressed,
But you're remarkably dressed,
Is it real?
And you're always busy -
Really busy,
Busy, busy,
Oh, steward on fire,
All around Anárion’s House -
And you're just so busy,
Busy, busy,
Busy matches,
Oh, steward on fire,
(Only the other day)
Was a wizard, over-cautious,
He made you nervous,
And when he said,
"I'm gonna usurp you"
Oh, I really felt for you -
So can you squeeze me,
Into an empty page of your diary,
And supernaturally change me?
Change me, change me, change –
Oh, here in Minas Tirith,
"Home of the brash, hopeless and free"
You are repressed,
But you're remarkably dressed,
Is it Real?
And you're always busy,
Really busy,
Busy oil,
Oh, steward on fire,
All around Anárion’s House -
And you're just too busy,
To see me,
Busy matches,
Oh, steward on fire…
Bows and tosses matches off stage upon exiting offstage...
