Sympathies to those who were eliminated. Better luck next time!
For my next number, I will perform "Smoke Gets in My Eye." It's based on a song called "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," and I'll be singing it in the style of the group that made it famous, The Platters. If you're wondering, it's what (movie) Sauron sang while concocting a cover of darkness for his army...
They asked me why I streamed
To brew my noisome steam.
I, of course, replied,
"Something in my eye
Feels like stinging lye.”
They said, "Someday you'll find
Poisoned fumes can blind."
When Mount Doom's on fire,
You must realize
Smoke gets in my eye.
So I chaffed them and I gaily laughed
To think I could come to pain.
Yet today my eye still pours like rain,
Black tears fall on the plain.
Now laughing Orcs deride
Tears Kleenex can't hide.
So I glower and say,
"When a lovely fume flies,
Smoke gets in my eye."
Smoke gets in my eye.
Smoke gets in my eye.
Smoke..gets...in...my.....eye.......

People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect. But actually, from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint, it's more like a big ball of wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey... stuff.
