I asked young Frodo what he wanted to be,
He said "Gandalf, can't you see?
I want adventures, like uncle Bilbo
Even though I don't know where to go."

Frodo you must take the Ring,
Or aid to Sauron it will bring.

I told Frodo that his prospects were good,
And he said "Gandalf, it's understood
Being a hobbit is all very fine
