Another card without, alas, a picture on the front, dropped into the box. Folwren had once again realized another birthday was upon her far too late to draw a proper picture. She hoped desperately the letter within would make up for it.
Dear sir,
I can hardly believe this place has only been here for six years. I discovered its marvelous world and discussions not yet a year ago, and it seemed so great and established then. I hope that there are yet many years to come, for though I imagine that soon I won't be able to haunt this place quite so often as I have this past year, ever and anon I should like to return and visit the old places again.
Thanks very much for keeping such good care of the place. It's been excellent, and I hope that it will continue to be much the same.
