In a way you answered your question yourself. Faith - being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Hebrews 11:1). If everything is believable, tangible, and undeniably true without a shadow of a doubt, what's the use of calling it "faith"?
To drag this on a little more, Christians who are
foolish enough (from the world's point of view) to have faith in God find themselves seeing the reality of the Bible in their own lives. That's as far as I can go - it is rather difficult to explain to someone who does not believe. That's like describing the color purple to a blind person.
