I think no-one should be offended, as this is - after all - just a game.
But no, I didn't think you were harsh, just reacting - as anyone (me included) probably would, when seeing a somewhat twisted analysis on one's posting...
Using the word "lie" was probably a bit strong choice, and you are right about the foolishness to use that kind of lies as an orc tactics...
