Merry: Okay, I take the sword, kill something and then do what with the king?
Rohirrim: No, no. You don't kill something. You pledge the sword to the king.
Merry: I don't understand.
Rohirrim: You just offer him your pledge. Take the sword...
Merry: ... and kill the king. Gotcha.
