OK. I understand. Galadriel's father was Finarfin, brother of Fingolfin. From Fingolfin to Elrond, the line runs as follows: Fingolfin > Turgon > Idril > Earendil > Elrond. If I understand the rules of descent properly, Elrond is Galadriel's first cousin, four times removed.
