BUT??? So he was "well-shaped", BUT he had red hair? Definitely sounds like Tolkien had something against redheads. Or maybe I'm just being nitpicky and taking an innocent conjunction out of context, as I don't have HoME right now. After all, Maedhros was pretty awesome, so why would Tolkien give him red hair if he liked him?
