I prefer games that aren't overloaded with powerful roles but it would be fun to test. The one extra kill idea is probably the best one. A kill every night would be overkill, but it would be interesting if the Hunter could kill someone every night but was given the choice to decided
not to kill anyone. That would keep the pressure on the wolves to try to find him/her quickly, but wouldn't force the Hunter to do any of the wolves work for them.
Anyway, like I said, the one extra kill idea is the best, but I think a game with the "kill when you want" option would be at the very least entertaining.
