I too am suspicious of Gurthang's apparent love of these murderous beasts, but as t'old boy Saucepan said, we should be loathe to jump hastily decisions. Aafter all, do you want to wake up in the morning with the blood of an innocent villager on your hands because you jumped to a hasty conclusion? Verily I say, in such a situation you are no better than the werewolf yourself.
