I thought it perhaps best to start a thread where we can bring to attention posts or quotations from years past which merit acclaim and attention still. These are posts which shine with some refracted light of the simarils or which bear some fruit of the One White Tree: despite the passage of time, they still reward reading, as wit, good humour, perception always do.
