Regin - that sounds good, I think he'll definitely need some help there! Being ripped apart by a bird of prey - what a horrible thing to happen.
I think the bird may have ripped off the top of his ear in its frenzy. I would have described the attack, but it would make more sense to kind of have him hanging over the railings, or tangled in the rigging, bleeding profusely and semi-conscious, and needing the help of Marreth and the Corsairs. Should be plenty to go on there.
Don't worry though, he'll bounce back...
