I don't have my books with me, but I don't think arwen was a part of the council. Besides, I don't think that Arwen would've been a candidate, not unless we're talking about the movie here
. First of all, she wasn't (from what I could tell) a fighter in the books, the 'women-warrior' role was left up to Eowyn. Secondly, Elrond would never have sent his daughter on the quest, & he was the one doing the picking
.
p.s. I don't think Boromir would've had any problems, he was
so into fighting & gaining glory through victory that he probably
rarely gave women a second thought (yeah, he's wierd
).
