Durelin - my idea of what is going on with Calenvása and Targil is that they were to try and keep the rest of the Orcs away from camp. The Orcs, presumably, are looking for more Elvish captives, so perhaps leading the Orcs deeper into the forest with arrows or something? Help is on the way... This is how I take the situation to be going anyhow.
