I'm wondering if there are any references to Eru or any of the Ainur in LotR (ie. the whole third age). Did any of the different "races" in middle earth during the third age (specifically during the time of Bilbo and Frodo) know about Eru and the Ainur and the origin of Middle earth? Or was it all forgotten? I'm sure that Cirdan, Glorfindel, Elrond, Galadriel, Bobmbadil and some others knew. Any thoughts?
