images and transitions
On the nitpicky side since Orual seems a bit scarce:
Grond is "The Hammer of the Underworld" and refers to (1) Morgoth's mace and (2) the battering ram used against the gates of Minas Tirith.
Gond means "Stone" and is Ravion's personal joke about his own horse ("Dumb as a stone", which Gond is obviously not, but Ravion sees some humor in it.)
Regarding Transitions To Manhood: I'm not asking for a CGI transmogrification; one step at a time. Although big steps are nice. Perhaps a revelation a la Eustace Clarence Scrubb?
Eventually Mellonin will realize that she is a manipulative, controlling b*tch, but not yet. She has a ways to go, and Ravion is in for a LOT more torment in the meantime.
