Eryndil's sorrow was forgotten with the graceful laugh of Araréiel. She had been dancing, and her free spirit had lightened his heart again. He took the time to look back upon the stars and realized why Legolas had claimed it hers. Her movements were swift and flawless, and she moved like a butterfly. Eryndil noticed her looking at him again, with a look like she wasn't satisfied with all he had told her. "Now that I've made myself a thorough fool, I'm going to ask of you what I was not going to: Will you please tell me what I know it is you are keeping from me?" She asked.
Eryndil smiled at her, slightly enjoying the game the two were playing, and he decided he'd tease her some more to keep her mind off her troubles. "In time, dear Araréiel." Galendor looked away from her as she gave him a scowl, and she tested his stubbornness several times, but he would not yield. Finally she gave up for the time being and asked, "I still do not understand the reasoning behind you hair... the color of elven hair is dark, save in those from golden house of Finrod?"
Eryndil looked at the stars and replied, " It is an entish dye made from the very leaves of the trees in Fangorn. It does not go over very well with those who do not know me, and I thank you for not judging me."
Eryndil looked softly below him and felt a sudden longing for the forests of Fangorn. He had suddenly been disheartened and did not know why, but did not feel like carrying on with their walk here, or anywhere near here for that matter. "I...have an urge to leave my lady elf. Around many in this place I feel unwanted and constricted, and I wish to be around the trees again. Now I depart for Fangorn, but if you would, I would travel further south to the very woods of Ithilien to deliver you to the one you love."
Araréiel seemed concerned with his sudden change of heart, and could not decide whether to leave with him or not. In that hour Eryndil Galendor looked southward and departed in a daze. With every step he took Araréiel was again pressed for her decision. He stopped after many paces and said to her, "I will leave this place, and I don't believe I shall return. If you come with me, let it be now, for I travel in haste and yearning. If no, then It was a pleasure my lady, and namarië!"
It was at that point she made her decision.
