I dunno about y'all but I find it REALLY weird when Pippin's being tortured by Sauron through the Palantir and is clearly in pain, but Merry just sits on his bed going "Pippin. Pippin." I mean he didn't even look worried. He doesn't even try to wake Gandalf or get help.
i find that creepy and sadistic...
