Iadarion opened his eyes to an empty room. After shaking his head (which proved to be most painful, as the throbbing pain didn't agree with such rigorous motion) he stumbled out of the bed and into the hallway.
Now where has my friend Twylight gone off to? He thought. He wanted to thank her - for he assumed it was her- for putting him in a nice bed so he could get his rest. As he rounded the corner there she was, but this time with many new friends.
Iadarion sat down next to some hobbits, and for the first time waited for the others there to instigate the conversation.
