Silmaril Aman

Hearing the commotion downstairs and guessing that Bredan must have been asleep, Aman hastily scribbled a note saying she had come and guessed he must be asleep, and so she would talk to him later. Folding it neatly and slipping it under the door, Aman picked up the tray again and started down the stairs.

She was barely halfway down when, glancing across the room, she froze suddenly as if she had seen a ghost. A slow smile slid across her lips to become a delighted, disbelieving grin. Half running down the rest of the way, Aman dumped the tray on the bar as quickly as possible (not noticing at the time the way Jack's head whipped around and his eyes focused hungrily on the food) and she ran across to the newcomers. Uien had seen her already and stood up, smiling widely, and they embraced tightly. As they parted, Aman held the elf at arms-length, still smiling disbelievingly as she realised that they really had returned. And all alive...

Looking around at the others, she grasped the hands of each, both known and unknown to her. "Welcome to the Green Dragon, good sirs - and ladies." She came last to Eodwine, and smiled warmly at him, her eyes flicking up and down and across his face, unsure of whether he could really be fine. "Master Eodwine...it is so good to see you once more, safe and well."

The Rohirrim man laughed. "What, you expected any less, Miss Aman?"

Aman wrinkled her nose, smiling, then wagged a mock-stern finger at him. "Well, you did give us a fright to be sure, sir! Is food and drink coming for you?" she asked of the whole company. Falco - Falco! - nodded. "Aye, Buttercup has gone to get some."

"Ah, and I suppose a tale is in order then...if you don't mind my asking, of course," she added with a wink, knowing from their expressions that they wouldn't be able to resist. Eodwine looked a little put out. "Now now, Aman, can't we even have a wee rest aforehand, have some good vittles and fine drink to revitalise our weary selves?" He couldn't conceal his grin though and Aman laughed, waving a hand from side to side.

"Psh, good sir, a rest? You are near bursting with news! To let you impart it to me - indeed, to all of us - well, I would merely be doing you a favour. Come, good sirs and madams, tell us of your adventures since you vanished those months ago?"
