Two moments that really moved me were, first of all, Gandalf's reading of the Dwarves' journal in Moria. The final entries in the journal - "We cannot get out"..."The end comes" really stirred me.(Did anyone else notice that when the Fellowship heard the approach of the Orcs, Legolas and Gimli's reaction echoed the words in the journal? "They are coming." "We cannot get out.&quot

The other moment was in Minas Tirith after the Battle of the Pelennor, when an injured and shell-shocked Merry asked Pippin, "Are you going to bury me?" It brought me to tears.
