Since when was TTT a disappointment? Yes, it strayed from the plot a bit but I mean, you don't not like a movie or like it less because it strayed from the plot. I enjoyed it, though RotK took the cake. I'm an action guy and Rotk had plenty of it, as well as humour and some fairly enjoyable sappy emotional scenes . TTT was second on my list. It introduced a bunch of new characters, took the focus off Mordor, had that sweet Warg skirmish and then of course Helm's Deep. FotR comes in third, mainly cause it spends a lot of time explaining things and not going places and doing things. To me, it was my least favorite book, and hardest to get through. Once i hit TTT, I couldn't put it down. Yeah, I'm a warrior at heart I guess.
