I thought it was interesting it mentioned that PJ gave the cast of the movie the radio version to listen to. I love the radio production. It was my first introduction to LoTR, and for me it is the definitive version. Frodo and Sam are perfect, the songs are beautiful, and the Nazgul and the Riders REALLY scared me 20 years ago. I liked the movie, but the radio is fantastic. You can imagine the images for yourself, and it is extremely faithful to the books (only missing some things out, not changing bits.) I am also impressed with how little the radio version has dated - it still sounds fresh and wonderful.
