Well, I have to admit that the scene "moved" me more in the theater watching the movie. I never really felt for Boromir until I saw Sean Bean's portrayal. I'm not going to go into anything about whether or not it really was better, because I would have my head chopped off and served to me on a platter. But the fact remains that for me it was more powerful. But it's wrong.<P>Anyway, I don't think it's arrogant to be happy with your own work. If you confronted Phillipa Boyens about it personnaly, she'd probably apologize and say she didn't mean for it to sound sacrilegeous. She was probably just pleased with how it translated.<P>Another thing to think about: Artists are all a bit egotistical by nature. So it isn't surprising.
