I don't believe there's anything to <I>forgive</I>Hugo for. I was extremely excited to see he's back as Agent Smith in the Matrix, as he was a <B>brilliant</B>villain in that. <P>As for Elrond, I didn't take him as being "sinister" at all, he just seemed extremely staid and authoritative.
