How strange. I just watched both X-Men and The Matrix last week. <P>Since I saw FOTR before seeing X-Men or The Matrix, I couldn't help but think when watching each, "Look, it's Elrond," or "Look it's Gandalf." But as I got into both movies, I forgot who the actors were and just focused on the characters they were currently playing. I think this proves that both Hugo Weaving and Ian McKellan are great actors and can play any role (though the fact that The Matrix and X-Men were really great movies probably helps too).
