All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us. There are other forces at work in this world, Frodo, besides the will of evil. Bilbo was meant to find the Ring. In which case you were also 'meant' to have it. And that is an encouraging thought."<P>To my mind, this is the line that really captures the essence and grand theme of LOTR. In it I think we can find implicit one of the great Truths that Tolkien wished to impart with his masterpiece. It is a wonderful piece of scripting and was delivered magnificently. (One would never have known that the actor is an atheist! Bravo!)
