Remember: they in general live longer than humans and come of age at 33! So: he could have very well looked as he did at 33 as he did in the movie. The only thing I didn't like was the 17 years that disappeared between Frodo getting the ring and leaving with it in the movie. It was much more urgent seeming, which was good for the tension in the movie, I guess...instead of "oh...better get rid of the dang ring now!", like it was in the beginning of FotR: the book.<P>And, I think that, of all the actors I can think of now, Elijah Wood was the best choice. As were most of the actors they got! I can't think of better choices right now.
