Never mind Wood's physical appearance. Frodo is my favorite type of hero. I don't really go for the large swashbuckling type... It's the more intellectual and quietly driven that pull me in and make me feel sympathetic. I think part of it is that (even tho I've read the books) you generally do not know Frodo's capabilities. He's quiet, modest, and has an understated grasp on people -or should I say hobbits?- that makes him capable of his task. He is a hero without all the cliches.
