Sorry, Diamond, I take almost full responsibility for your having misconstrued my thoughts. Sean Astin and Elijah Wood are both fine actors, especially Elijah (although as can be seen on other threads I have problems with the portrayal of Sam in the movies). The scene after Gandalf's death, in particular, is one of the ones which draws my praise for them. It was only Orlando whose acting skills I was calling into question.
