My family and all my relatives were already die-hard tolkien fans, and i'd read the Hobbit, but hadn't got round to reading lotr yet.<P>When the movie came out I went to c it with them and i instantly fell in love. (particularily with Aragorn....yum ) On the way home all the others spent their time commenting on exactly what had been missed out, and certain things obviously annoyed them. I therefore decided not to read each of the three books until I'd already seen the corresponding movie. That way I wouldn't feel cheated if things were left out. So as yet I haven't actually read lotr, cos even when I started fotr I got as far as the council of Elrond and gave up. <P>So I must tragically admit that I've never actually read lotr.
