Are you intending to imply that Balrogs are
just fear, "unhoused"? Or even just "clothed" fear? If this was the case, Balrogs would never have been killed. Rather, they would have simply been bereft of their raiment until they could fashion another one. This re-embodiment would help answer some questions (specifically the much disputed AAm note), but it is also a quite widely rejected notion. No, Balrogs were slain, and it is never suggested that they were re-embodied. This means they must have been not merely clothed, but permanently incarnate.
