Burrahobbit - Doesn't your list suggest a deity who wasn't in to "sweating the small stuff". The Valar may get their knickers in a twist over Trees, Simarils, Orcs, etc., but Eru, who knew
all the themes of his Music, not just some, let them be. Why? Because he knows how it's all going to come out. And being sad about certain occurances, (like Morgoth shaping Orcs), does not elimiate the necessity of them being part of of an all-encompassing "plan".
